Use multi-term registration to identify—and remove— course bottlenecks to student progress
Students face a host of obstacles as they seek to complete their course requirements. These “bottlenecks” are caused by poor access, course-level outcomes, and academic policies. In fact, bottlenecks are often considered one of the early indicators that a student may struggle in the future.
To resolve bottlenecks, some IT leaders are moving toward multi-term registration to encourage students to register several semesters in advance—making it easier for the institution to plan scheduling and course availability around a highly accurate demand forecast.
