Back in 2014, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, a public institution serving more than 4,000 students, realized they had a problem.

Their decentralized faculty advising model was failing to help students effectively plan and register for their courses, causing students to enroll in courses that wouldn’t count towards their degree and jump through numerous obstacles to register for the courses they actually needed.

In 2015, their team decided to streamline the student advising process with a dedicated academic resource center that would provide added support for new students and those in specific academic programs.

The following year, in order to further drive improvements, Wiregrass leveraged Navigate to personalize the student advising experience, resulting in the following outcomes:

      •  76% of Wiregrass students use the Navigate platform to          provide a more comprehensive view of their interests and
         unique needs
      •  Academic resource center advisors now use Navigate in          100% of their advising sessions, leveraging the data to
          proactively identify barriers to completion
      •  Following these appointments, more than 92% of
         students have used Navigate to make a course change

         that better suited their individual academic plan
